68 _____________ Weed abatement MOTION : Title having been read , Councilman Norris moved , seconded by Councilman Henderson adoption of the following resolution with a hearing date set of February 4 , 1974 : Resolution No . 7087 Declaring Weeds and Related Matters to be a Nuisance , and Ordering Their Removal The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . MOTION : Title having been read , Councilman Weymouth moved , seconded by Councilman Henderson , the adoption of the following resolution : Resolution No , 7088 Approving Specifications for the Weed Eradication Program in the City of Redwood City , and Authorizing City Clerk to Advertise for Bids Therefor The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote , Consent Calendar City Attorney Schricker advised that with regard to the item concerning appoint - ment of a Steno II to the City Clerk ' s office that the salary for the position is e xpressed in a range rather than in steps . He further advised that the difference w ould have no effect on the salary recommended for the candidate , since it is w ithin the salary range . City Manager Fales announced that notices concerning the Community Development Seminar conducted by the League of California Cities to be held January 29 , 1974 in Oakland were sent to Council . Mr , Fales asked that Councilmen advise him if they wish to register , Councilmen Henderson , Leipzig and Norris plan to attend . In reply to the inquiry of the Peninsula Division of the League of California Cities concerning approval of the St . Francis Yacht Club as a meeting place for the May meeting , Mayor Keckley polled the Council and ordered that the Peninsula. Divi- sion be advised of their favorable response . Mayor Keckley announced that Councilman Leipzig will represent the Council at the Peninsula Water Agency meetings . (Memo 1/8/74 ) Councilman Henderson requested permission to attend the meeting of the Board of Directors of the League of California Cities on January 23 , 24 and 25 . MOTION : Title having been read , Councilman Williams moved , seconded by Councilman Leipzig , approval of all of the following items and adoption of the appropriate resolution : Appointment of Steno II - City Clerk ' s office - at $718 plus such adjustments as may be reflected by any change of range enacted by the Council together with such adjustments as may be made by the City Manager pursuant to Council authorization .
