(MINUTE ORDER N0. 7�-50) � <br /> � <br /> Oral �ommunications <br /> Maypr �eckley advised that he has received a letter from Melvin C. <br /> Kerwin and inquiries from Ron MacQuarrie and Mario Biagi all con- <br /> cexning the problems encountered with regard �o obtaining gasoline <br /> and the need for cooperation from �as station operators with re- <br /> gm,rd to posting of hours and eliminating long waiting lines. <br /> Mayor Keckley asked City Mana�er Fales to comment on his recent <br /> � experience in that regard. <br /> Mr. Fa3f:s described the difficulties i.n recei.vin�; rurrpnt i.nfc�r- <br /> mati�n c�n regulations from State and Federal �overnments. Mr. <br /> F�les observed that gas station operators are supposeci to post <br /> hours, for example, but since that was a State action �ay f:he <br /> Gcavernor joined by the County Board of Sugervi.s�rs, there are <br /> qur�stions regarding the extent to which the City ma.y enforce the <br /> r��ulati.on. Mr. Fales reported thr�t the City has att�mpted to <br /> k�ep i.ntersections clear and traf#'ic moving, while not adding <br /> to �h� problems of drivers who must wait in long lines at gas <br /> s�ations.
