Variance re location of driveways - Whipple Avenue and Industrial Way City Manager Fales referred to his report of December 13 attaching a request from the Director of Public Works for a variance with regard to location of driveways at Industrial Way and Whipple Avenue and recommended that the requested variance be granted . MOTION : Councilman. Williams moved , seconded by Councilman Rhodes , that a variance to Section 29 . 19 with regard to the location of driveways on the northerly corner of Industrial Way and Whipple Avenue be granted . Gull Minor Subdivision , Redwood City , California. , Subject to Certain Conditions ; Approving and Adopting Plans and Specifications for Improvement Thereof , and Approving and Authorizing Execution of Agreement for the Construction of Improve - ments for Said Subdivision The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . Fair Oaks Community Center- Furnishing for child care facility City Manager Pales referred to his report of December 13 , 1973 regarding approval of specifications for supplies and equipment for the child care facility at the Fair Oaks Community Center . Mr . Fales advised that although no decision has been made by the State Department of Education on the application for operating funds by the Peninsula Youth Center , the prospective operators of the facility , it is essential that the City be as ready as possible to implement the child care pro- gram if the application is approved . Mr . Pales introduced Antonio Villasenor , the newly appointed Director of the Fair Oaks Community Center and Mr .
