(MEMO 12/18/73 ) <br /> Letter from Governor Ronald Reagan re 55 mph speed limit <br /> City Manager Fales read the letter from Governor Reagan dated December 12 , <br /> 1973 advising of the signing of Assembly Bill 1969 establishing a 55 mile <br /> per hour speed limit for all California. and the issuance of Executive Order <br /> R -47 -73 , effective January 1 , 1974 , which reflects the change . <br /> Harry Jackson , attorney representing Mobil Oil Estates Limited (Redwood ) inc . <br /> read a letter addressed to the Council regarding the conveyance of real <br /> property to the City and requested Council action at this time . <br /> MOTION : Councilman Williams moved , seconded by Councilman Norris , to accept the <br /> offer of Mobil Oil Estates Limited (Redwood ) Inc . for the conveyance of real <br /> property to the City of Redwood City for right - of-way purposes and to authorize <br /> the City Clerk to accept the deed for such property upon its delivery and to <br /> record same . <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . (MINUTE ORDER NO , ?3 - 168 ) <br /> Civic Cultural Commission Appointments <br /> Vice Mayor Henderson reported that Councilman Leipzig has nominated Miss Patti <br /> Bury for appointment to the Civic Cultural Commission . Jean Groberg and invited other nominations to fill the two forth - <br /> coming vacancies on the Commission . <br /> MOTION : Councilman Williams moved , seconded by Councilman Norris , to continue <br /> nominations to the Civic Cultural Commission until the next regular Council meeting <br /> on January 7 , 1974 . <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote .
