Exhibit A <br /> <br /> PROPOSAL FOR PREPARATION OF AN <br /> INITIAL STUDY AND MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br /> FOR THE PROPOSED CHILD CARE FACILITY <br /> FOR THE ORACLE CORPORATION AT REDWOOD SHORES <br /> <br />STATEMENT OF PROPOSAL AND OUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROJECT <br /> <br />It is our understanding that the property owner/applicant, the Oracle <br />Corporation, proposes to develop a child care facility for its employees on a <br />2.92 acre site on the Oracle Corporation Campus along Oracle Parkway in <br />Redwood Shores. The facility is proposed to contain a 27,000 square foot, one- <br />story building, plus a 19,000 square foot secure yard and playground area. It <br />will also provide 100 parking spaces, which includes 20 short-term parking <br />stalls for checking the children in and oUt of the facility, and 14 parking stalls <br />for BCDC public access. <br /> <br />The anticipated environmental issue/impacts include: <br /> 1. General Plan Amendment/PD Permit Amendment <br /> 2. Traffic/Circulation/Parking* <br /> 3. Wetlands <br /> 4. Geotechnical, Soil/Groundwater* <br /> 5. San Carlos Airport Land Use Compatability <br /> 6. Visual/aesthetics* <br /> 7. Electric and Magnetic Field (EMF) Exposure* <br /> 8. BCDC approvals <br /> * study being prepared by applicant <br /> <br />This proposal is based upon the assumption that the Initial Study will find <br />and permit that a Mitigated Negative Declaration can be prepared for this <br />project. <br /> <br /> 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
