472 <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to approve CONSENT CALENDAR , Items ( a ) through ( e ) , <br /> seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call vote . <br /> Councilman Petersen inquired regarding the Storm Drainage , Water and Sewer Bond <br /> Issues (GID 1 , 2 and 3 -65 ) as to how much is left to complete before the <br /> project is wiped off the books . City Manager advised that the only major <br /> project left was Cordilleras Creek, which is proposed to be designed and <br /> completed next year in cooperation with San Carlos . <br /> COMMUNICATIONS : <br /> ( a ) Written - copies submitted to Council . <br /> 1 , Everett Collins , 309 42nd Avenue , San Mateo , enclosing an article <br /> describing successful efforts to reverse the trend of declining downtown <br /> business in Minneapolis by conversion to a mall , and suggesting similar <br /> action in Redwood City . <br /> Recommendation : Refer to Staff and Downtown Action <br /> Committee <br /> 2 , City of Palo Alto , advising of their inclusion in 1972 -73 budget of funds <br /> to develop an anti -drug abuse program in Palo Alto , and urging support <br /> and comparable effort in neighboring communities , <br /> Recommendation : Refer to Staff <br /> 3 . James A . Swayne , City Manager , Pacifica , advising of their Council ' s action <br /> in support of proposal by the United Transportation Association ( requesting <br /> Airport Commission to allow any properly licensed and credentialed taxicab <br /> to operate at San Francisco Airport ) . (Association ' s proposal appeared <br /> under communications , March 27th Council agenda ) <br /> 4 . Mayor Bury referred to letter to him , copies of which were submitted to <br /> Council , from Juventus Sport Club , Inc . , of. Redwood City , and noted that <br /> the soccer team had participated last year in the Governor ' s Cup , and <br /> that the team was requesting financial support to enable them to travel <br /> to Seattle April 22nd to play the Washington State Champions . He invited <br /> a representative of Juventus Sport Club to comment . <br /> Mr , Aldo Costelli reported that Redwood City International <br /> Youth Soccer Tournament would be held during the forth- <br /> coming weekend , at the Recreation Center field and at <br /> Sequoia High School , 16 different teams , including teams <br /> from West Germany and from Canada would be participating , <br /> along with Redwood City team , Support was being solicited <br /> to enable the Juventus Junior Soccer Team to go to <br /> Seattle for the Far West Playoffs . The winner of the <br /> Playoffs would qualify for the National Finals in Trenton , <br /> New Jersey , and this would be paid for by the United <br /> States Soccer Football Association . <br /> In response to question by Council , Mr .
