O .* Neill , Redwood City Tribune , pertaining to an act of vandalism on June 19 at Community Park . With respect to the problem of vandalism in general , she suggested that if Council concurred , perhaps Sta.`f could be requested to review what Oakland had done with Federal funding through its Burglary detail for a pilot program vandalism squad , noting the astronomical costs of damage to property . She felt the question of whether Federal funds could be obtained would be worth investigation by Staff . City Manager responded that he would be happy to follow this up .
