Subdivision Map Act Revision . SB 1118 revises Subdivision Map Act to eliminate conflicts , ambiguities and uncertainties . It would provide greater regulation and control of subdivisions with respect to implementing local planning policy , as opposed to present regulation of "design " and "improvement " of subdivisions . Provides stronger enforcement provisions and broadens open space dedication authority and provides for reservation of lands for parks , recreational facilities , etc . According to infor- mation received , organized labor had joined certain developers and home builders in opposing this bill .
