Councilman Rhodes questioned <br /> procedure if ordinance was introduced , and City Attorney responded that in <br /> the way it was now before Council , it would be in effect 37 days from the <br /> time of introduction , although it was possible to draft the ordinance to <br /> provide for a different effective date , There was further discussion re - <br /> lating to effect of delaying action , Motion carried , <br /> Continued PUBLIC HEARING , Application of ALBERT 0 , ENGEL , to amend the Zoning <br /> Map to rezone property , adjoining Harbor Village Mobile Home Park (3015 East <br /> Bayshore Frontage Road ) from "CN " (Neighborhood Commercial ) District to <br /> "R_2 -T " (Residential-Duplex-Transient Residential ) District , declared open . <br /> Public hearing had been opened on March 15 , 1971 , and continued to this date <br /> at request of the applicant . Communication from Albert Engel was read into <br /> the record by Mayor Bury , in which it was indicated applicant was unable to <br /> be present but requested that the rezoning proceed , and that problems <br /> previously referred to had been resolved to mutual satisfaction of him and <br /> City staff . There being no further communications or discussion, Councilman <br /> Weymouth moved to close the public hearing, seconded by Councilman Rhodes <br /> and carried . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to introduce Ordinance adding Section 60 , 23 , 4 to <br /> Ordinance No . 1130 , the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance , rezoning property <br /> in the vicinity of East Bayshore Frontage Road , seconded by Councilman <br /> Weymouth and carried . <br /> Report by Staff on Los Angeles Earthquake Inspection Trip , City Manager advised <br /> that Staff was prepared to present a verbal and pictorial report on inspection <br /> of the Los Angeles area earthquake of February 9, 1971 , made by Chief Building <br /> Official and Fire Chief , <br /> Councilman Williams left the meeting at 8 ;40 p . m , <br /> Chief Building Official expressed appreciation to Council for- support in making <br /> the inspection trip available , indicating the experience gained was invaluable . <br /> A supply of pamphlets was available to anyone interested , one titled , "Active <br /> Faults of California " , and another , "Safety and Survival in an Earthquake " , <br /> He noted that the Water Superintendent had also visited the area recently , and <br /> had information relative to water facilities . <br />
