EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Scope of Work: <br /> Consultant shall physically report to the City and be present in the City office two-three times a week <br /> to lead strategic marketing and communications efforts for the City Manager's Office during an interim <br /> capacity. Consultant shall be available for calls and other work as needed, when not in the office. <br /> Contract timing : <br /> Majority of work completed from July 25 to September 6, 2016, and on an as-needed base thereafter. <br /> Estimated Work and Cost: <br /> In the office 2-3 days a week for four hours and on-call as needed. Payment to Consultant shall be <br /> $125/hour or an estimate of $1 ,500 per week, maximum weekly time would be 20 hours or $2,500. <br /> Priorities and Areas of Focus <br /> • Strategic and tactical work as assigned and agreed to include: <br /> Anticipated priorities: <br /> Speech writing and other communications related activities to prepare for the <br /> State of the City. <br /> a General Marketing and Communications in coordination with the <br /> Communications Analyst and other City Manager staff, lead the strategic <br /> needs of the City to continue communications and marketing initiatives in an <br /> interim capacity, including: <br /> • Strategic oversight of communications and marketing efforts/priorities <br /> O Evaluate content developed across all mediums including <br /> blogs, major social media campaigns, new website content, <br /> news releases, video development, etc. <br /> • Issues management <br /> O White papers, summaries, letters to the editor, City <br /> positioning on issues that come up <br /> • Proactively tell our story <br /> O Media relations: news releases, news about city council and <br /> planning commission decisions, etc. <br /> O Partner with departments on items coming up, based on <br /> editorial calendar and project list <br /> • Graphic Design Projects <br /> O Provide direction over graphic design projects that are <br /> currently being developed <br /> • Other items as needed. <br /> ATTY/AGR/2016.196/PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT — JEANNE SULLIVAN <br /> REV: 07-21-16 VR <br /> Page 5 of 5 <br />
