:3 4 <br /> Acknowledgement from AssemblymanCarl Britschgi of Council ' s <br /> resolution endorsing BCDC ( copy submitted to Council ) <br /> Mayor Bury reminded Council of the Memorial Day Services to be held at the Union <br /> Cemetery and of the invitation which had been extended for Council member attendance <br /> inasmuch as part of the ceremony would include installation of the renovated soldier <br /> statue . Mayor Bury also noted the persons who had so helped in making possible <br /> the restoration of this statue and suggested some appropriate action by Council <br /> publicly recognizing their efforts . <br /> Councilman Arnett moved that Mayor be authorized to take appropriate action on be- <br /> half of Council to indicate appreciation to those who had participated in this <br /> noteworthy restra.tion effort , seconded by Councilman Rosselli , and carried . <br /> ( MINUTE ORDER #69 - 106 ) <br /> Councilman Henderson noted next Legislative Committee meeting had been set for <br /> June 3rd , 7 : 30 a . m . , and asked that their report be made an Agenda item for Council <br /> meeting of June 9th . She also requested discussion by Council of ABAG proposals <br /> to be presented at General Assembly meeting of June llth for benefit of Council ' s <br /> representatives before attending this meeting . <br /> Mayor Bury asked forpermission to attend the U . S . Conference of Mayors to be held <br /> in Pittsburgh , June 114 - 18 , in event it would be possible for him to go . <br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to approve Mayor ' s attendance at this Conference and ad - <br /> vance of funds if requested , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried ( MINUTE <br /> ORDER #69 - 107 ) <br /> After discussion held concerning whether Council meeting of June 2nd should be <br /> cancelled because of the all day National Bowling Tournament to be held on that <br /> date and Council ' s intended participation , Mayor Bury announced meeting of June <br /> 2nd would be held , but directed Staff to hold Agenda to the one public hearing <br /> scheduled only , <br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to adjourn , seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried . <br /> Meeting adjourned at 9 : 45 P .M , <br /> HELEN C .
