282 <br /> Councilman Arnett moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 5932 APPROPRIATING $ 1 , 900 FROM UN- <br /> APPROPRIATED BALANCE OF SALES TAX CAPITAL OUTLAY FUND TO PROVIDE FOR ELECTRICAL <br /> ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING SERVICES RELATING TO UNDERGROUNDING OF PUBLIC UTILITY <br /> FACILITIES IN CONNECTION WITH PROPOSED WOODSIDE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS , seconded by <br /> Councilman Henderson . <br /> Staff report stated cost of the services for contacting individual property <br /> owners on Woodside Road exceeded the original estimate . City Manager advised <br /> a portion of the charges will be recouped from the County . He also noted work <br /> almost done on this phase and he would be meeting with Mr . Martineau to de - <br /> lineate the underground district to be formed . Motion carried on roll call <br /> vote , Councilman Petersen being noted absent . <br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 5933 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO , 5 +79 <br /> APPROVING AND ACCEPTING FINAL MAP OF WAYNE COURT EAST SUBDIVISION, REDWOOD CITY, <br /> CALIFORNIA , SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS ; APPROVING AND ADOPTING PLANS AND <br /> SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT THEREOF ; AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS FOR SAID SUBDIVISION, seconded <br /> by Councilman Weymouth . <br /> Staff report stated original subdivision agreement had called for a bond in the <br /> amount Qf $45 , 000 , but that subdivider has completed the sanitary sewer system <br /> and the water system and paid all bids for this work , therefore , now requesting <br /> a reduction of the required bond to $28 , 000 , which Staff feels will be adequate <br /> to complete the improvements . <br /> Mr . Tom Gamboa , representing Arbor Development Company, <br /> developer of this subdivision , appeared to describe <br /> problems existing because of non-access strip fronting <br /> new street . <br /> City Attorney advised the action before Council fcr consideration only pertained <br /> to the revised improvement agreement and did include approval of certain required <br /> conveyances to the City , but did not include parcel referred to . Motion carried <br /> on roll call vote , Councilman Petersen being noted absent . <br /> City Manager advised all were aware of reason for non-access strip referred to , <br /> to prevent owners of lots having frontage on newly improved street without part - <br /> icipating in costs . He advised the additional problem referred to consisted <br /> of a triangular lot . Councilman Weymouth moved to refer this problem to Staff . <br /> City Attorney advised if any modification were to be made concerning any other <br /> disposition of property than that contained in the revised agreement just ap - <br /> proved , it would be necessary to rescind Council for further modification or re - <br /> vision . It was suggested that Mr . Gamboa contact City Staff for a further dis - <br /> cussion of this matter . No second to referral motion . <br /> Report of Transportation Committee , <br /> Councilman Keckley , in absence of the Chairman , advised Committee , after review <br /> of a request by Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Merchants ' Association , recom- <br /> mended an extension of the bus operating hours on Saturdays to 6 : 00 P . M , , instead <br /> of the present 5 : 00 P . M . , to allow shoppers additional time to shop and still <br /> catch buses . He advised ServiCar Company had concurred with the recommendation . <br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 5934 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO , 5904 , <br /> RELATING TO HOURS OF OPERATION OF MUNICPAL TRANSIT SYSTEM ON SATURDAYS , seconded <br /> by Councilman Keckley . <br /> Councilman Henderson protested action being taken on this matter without a <br /> written Committee recommendation having been submitted to Council in advance , and <br /> moved that this action be tabled . Motion lost for lack of a second . Discussion <br /> held further concerning accepted policy obi such matters , but indication that , <br /> mat xo 's9 <br />
