ITEM 3 - Senior Affairs Commission Workplan Review and Prioritization <br /> The following items were noted as matters important to seniors and were <br /> listed in order of priority by the Commission: <br /> a) Food <br /> b) Clothing <br /> c) Shelter <br /> d) Communication (phone, papers, etc.) <br /> e) Long Term Care/National HEALTH <br /> f) Transportation <br /> g) Liability <br /> It was suggested that guest speakers be scheduled to discuss these matters <br /> at which time in-depth discussions can be held by the Commission. <br /> Suggested Agenda: <br /> November: SSI Speaker <br /> December: Food/Clothing/Shelter (Emergency Service Providers) <br /> Corinne Centeno will address these items. <br /> January: National HEALTH/Long Term Care Legislation. Ann Brenner <br /> from Congressman Tom Lantos' Office to speak. <br /> February: Transportation - Eldon Luce and taxi cab company <br /> representative <br /> The Commissioners supported a letter to the City Council advising them in <br /> this selection of priorities and that the Commission wishes to work on <br /> these matters. <br /> ROUNDTABLE <br /> There were no matters to be discussed under Roundtable. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 10:20am to be reconvenened on Wednesday, November 13, 1991 at 9:00am at the <br /> Senior Center Annex, 711 Nevada Street, Redwood City, California. <br />
