Chairperson Anthony said that a survey was given out <br /> to downtown businesses to determine if having Fox Theater events were <br /> helpful to the downtown area. They received 10% of the surveys back and <br /> all responses received were positive. <br /> Supervisor Oliver said if senior transportation could be provided to <br /> cultural events at a low or no cost then more seniors would attend. She <br /> also inquired if the Fair Oaks Senior Center bus would be available to take <br /> seniors to events at the Fox Theater. <br /> ITEM 4 - San Mateo Resource Team <br /> Chairperson Anthony spoke about the Resource Team which was developed by <br /> the senior commissions of San Mateo County to share information. He <br /> mentioned there were 4-5 people in attendance at the last meeting and they <br /> hope to get representatives from all senior commissions at subsequent <br /> meetings. Chairperson Anthony said the Resource Team is interested in our <br /> survey results and he will provide them with all comments and results of <br /> our survey. <br /> Executive Director Bransford said the New Beginning Coalition meets the <br /> 4th Tuesday of every month at 1:30pm at the Fair Oaks Community Center and <br /> they are looking for a representative from the San Mateo Resource Team to <br /> attend. <br /> Roundtable <br /> -Executive Director Bransford said she was pleased with the presentation <br /> made by the Senior Affairs Commission to the City Council on October 4. <br /> -Supervisor Oliver said she would like to present information on her <br /> concerns about Kaiser Hospital regarding the services they provide to <br /> seniors in our community at a future Commission meeting. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 10:50am to be reconvened at 9:00am on Wednesday, November 10, 1993 at the <br /> Senior Center Annex, 711 Nevada Street, Redwood City, California. <br />
