Chairperson Anthony said that a survey was given out to downtown businesses to determine if having Fox Theater events were helpful to the downtown area. They received 10% of the surveys back and all responses received were positive. Supervisor Oliver said if senior transportation could be provided to cultural events at a low or no cost then more seniors would attend. She also inquired if the Fair Oaks Senior Center bus would be available to take seniors to events at the Fox Theater. ITEM 4 - San Mateo Resource Team Chairperson Anthony spoke about the Resource Team which was developed by the senior commissions of San Mateo County to share information. He mentioned there were 4-5 people in attendance at the last meeting and they hope to get representatives from all senior commissions at subsequent meetings. Chairperson Anthony said the Resource Team is interested in our survey results and he will provide them with all comments and results of our survey. Executive Director Bransford said the New Beginning Coalition meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 1:30pm at the Fair Oaks Community Center and they are looking for a representative from the San Mateo Resource Team to attend. Roundtable -Executive Director Bransford said she was pleased with the presentation made by the Senior Affairs Commission to the City Council on October 4. -Supervisor Oliver said she would like to present information on her concerns about Kaiser Hospital regarding the services they provide to seniors in our community at a future Commission meeting.
