She hopes to have the new person on board <br /> by mid-November. Marianne Mannia will stay on board until the new <br /> person arrives. <br /> On the November agenda: <br /> -Commission Workplan for 1995 <br /> -Senior Housing Needs <br /> -Election of Officers <br /> MATTERS OF COMMISSION INTEREST <br /> Nothing to report. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Supervisor Mannia announced the Commission on Aging, the Veterans <br /> Memorial Senior Center and the Fair Oaks Senior Center are co-sponsoring a <br /> workshop on October 20 entitled "Help at Home". It will be held at the <br /> Veterans Memorial Senior Center from 9:00-11:30am and lunch will follow. <br /> -A Halloween brunch lunch will be held on October 31 at the Veterans <br /> Memorial Senior Center. There will be a costume contest and lots of <br /> entertainment. <br /> -A forum will be presented on Proposition 186 on October 24 at 9:30am by the <br /> Commission on Aging at the Health Services Building on 37th Avenue in <br /> San Mateo. <br /> -A forum to hear all City Council candidates will be held at Messiah Lutheran <br /> Church on October 13 at 7 or 7:30pm. <br /> -A public hearing will be presented this evening by the Civic Cultural <br /> Commission regarding Carrington Hall at 7:30pm at Carrington Hall, Sequoia <br /> High School campus. <br /> -Jackie Speier's annual meeting, "Seniors on the Move", will be held <br /> October 25 at 8:30am at Bay Meadows Race Track. Lunch will follow the <br /> event. <br />
