At the meeting, it was stated that <br /> HHCC members will be visiting agencies who receive funds to verify they are <br /> actually providing the services they say they are. Commissioner Capone said <br /> she will be visiting those agencies that provide services to seniors. <br /> Commissioner Walsh attended a Commission on Aging meeting and noted a <br /> request was received from Representative Eshoo asking the Commission to <br /> send letters to legislators Feinstein, Lantos, Boxes and herself with a <br /> statement on the dismantling health care programs. The Commissioners <br /> discussed sending a letter to the City Council on this matter. Commissioner <br /> Walsh offered to put some information together and it will be discussed at <br /> the January meeting. <br /> ITEM 3-TRANSPORTATION <br /> This matter will be deferred until the January meeting. <br /> ITEM 4-HOUSING <br /> This matter will be deferred until the January meeting. <br /> ITEM 5-ELECTION OF OFFICERS <br /> M/S Moran/Mooney: To nominate and elect Geary Lloyd as chairperson of <br /> the Senior Affairs Commission. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> M/S Moran/Mooney: To nominate and elect Leo Walsh as vice chairperson <br /> of the Senior Affairs Commission. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> There were no announcements. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 10:40am to be reconvened at 3:00pm on Thursday, January 11, 1996 at the <br /> Senior Center Annex, 711 Nevada Street, Redwood City, California. <br />
