Senior Affairs Commission Page 3 <br /> Minutes of Thursday,December 14,2000 <br /> ITEM 3 — LACK OF PUBLIC SEATING AT SEQUOIA STATION <br /> This item was deferred to January meeting. <br /> ITEM 4 — REPORT ON SENIOR HEALTH ISSUE RESOLUTION AT <br /> NOVEMBER 13 COUNCIL MEETING <br /> Commissioner L. Walsh reported that the Council approved this resolution at <br /> their November 13 meeting. He also reported that letters have gone out to <br /> various legislators, but no responses have been received. Commissioner L. <br /> Walsh said that it was suggested that our resolution be shared with the ten <br /> other San Mateo County cities to increase awareness and enlist support. He <br /> shared a newspaper article from US News and World Report concerning rising <br /> HMO medical costs and insurance premiums. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Chairperson Moran announced that Commissioner Harrison's husband is in <br /> the hospital. <br /> -Commissioner Grove invited the Commissioners to a reception for her art <br /> exhibit to be held this evening at the San Jose Museum of Art. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 2:30pm to be reconvened at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 11, 2001 at the <br /> Veterans Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
