Senior Affairs Commission Page 4 <br /> Minutes of Thursday,April 12,2001 <br /> -Strategic Planning Committee <br /> No report. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Commissioner Moran announced Redwood City 2020 will be holding a <br /> community forum on Tuesday, April 24 at the Fair Oaks Community Center <br /> from 5:30-7:30pm. Please contact Beth Ross at 780-7393 if you will be <br /> attending. <br /> -Commissioner L. Walsh stated that the senior commission for the City of <br /> Burlingame was eliminated due to lack of issues to work on. <br /> -Commissioner Borgens said San Mateo County Supervisor Jerry Hill reported <br /> to her about the current contract with American Medical Response Ambulance <br /> Service and their fee of $1,000.00 whether you were transported or not. <br /> -Manager Knight offered everyone a tour of the Sandpiper Community Center <br /> immediately after the Commission meeting was completed. <br /> -Commissioner Borgens invited the audience to visit the Veterans Memorial <br /> Senior Center and attend its programs and daily lunch program which costs <br /> $3.50 per person. <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was adjourned at <br /> 2:25pm to be reconvened at 1:00pm on Thursday, May 10, 2001 at the <br /> Veterans Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
