Hours of Construction — Construction activity is permitted between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 <br /> p.m. Monday through Friday, except as permitted on weekends by the Building Official, <br /> and shall adhere to the City's Noise Ordinance. If possible, the noisiest construction <br /> activities would be scheduled for daytime hours when the ambient noise levels are <br /> highest. ISDR][BU ILDING] <br /> 49. Pre-Meeting for Construction — After City permits are approved, but prior to start of <br /> construction, the applicant shall hold a preconstruction conference with Engineering staff <br /> and other interested parties. The developer shall arrange for the attendance of the <br /> construction manager, contractor, and all subcontractors who are responsible for grading <br /> and erosion and sedimentation protection controls. Construction Material in the Right-of-Way — Construction parking, material storage, <br /> equipment, or other construction-related uses are not allowed within the City right of way <br /> without prior approval from the City Engineer. Prior to encroachment permit issuance, <br /> the applicant shall submit a construction parking management plan, which shall outline <br /> the number of construction workers by phase, phase duration, where parking will be <br /> located for each phase. Construction &Traffic Control Plan—The applicant shall submit a Construction Traffic <br /> Routing and Parking Plan for review and approval prior to the issuance of permits. The <br /> plan shall ensure that adequate emergency access is maintained during construction. <br /> Traffic control for lane closures shall conform to the Work Area Traffic Control Handbook. <br /> Street closures require submission of traffic control plans and approval in advance. <br /> [SD R][ENGINEERING] <br /> 52. Lane Closures —Traffic control for lane closures shall conform to the Work Area Traffic <br /> Control Handbook; street closures require prior submission of traffic control plans to be <br /> approved in advance. [COA][ENGINEERING] <br /> 53. Grading —Grading shall be performed in accordance with Volume III, Part II of the City's <br /> Engineering Standards. Soil or other construction materials shall not be stockpiled in the <br /> public right-of-way. The applicant shall submit cut/fill volumes (CY) for all soils to be <br /> imported to or exported from the site. [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br /> 54. Monitoring — The Soils Engineer shall conduct continuous site inspections during <br /> trenching and backfill operations at the applicant's expense. The Soils Engineer shall <br /> take compaction tests and submit the results to Engineering & Construction. <br /> [SD R][ENGINEERING] <br /> 55. Construction Coordination — The construction activities shall not impact adjoining <br /> properties, including ingress egress operations, without providing adequate planning for <br /> fire protection and life safety.
