EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Consultant, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, Is a professional theatre organization <br /> serving the entire San Francisco Bay Area region. It was established in 1983 with the <br /> mission of making the words and themes of William Shakespeare accessible to <br /> everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, financial status, or level of education. The <br /> Festival is widely recognized as one of the largest free Shakespeare programs in the <br /> nation and a major provider of arts education and youth development programs in <br /> California. <br /> Consultant is the first point-of-contact with Shakespeare and the performing arts for <br /> many audience members -- thus, the quality of Consultant's programming must <br /> represent the plays in the finest light, demonstrate their relevance to today's society, <br /> and inspire Consultant's audiences to seek out additional cultural experiences. Through <br /> Consultant's five community programs, Consultant serves as a gateway to the vibrant <br /> Bay Area arts community for thousands each year. <br /> Consultant is a community supported 501 (c)3 public benefit corporation. All donations, <br /> net goods and services provided, are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. EIN <br /> 94-286-7269. <br /> FREE SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK: <br /> 2016 is the 34th Anniversary of Free Shakespeare in the Park. The Festival's flagship <br /> program brings professional productions to large, diverse audiences in beautiful public <br /> parks throughout the Bay Area. Each year, Consultant presents a free outdoor <br /> production for 30,000 attendees --- many of whom have never seen a live <br /> Shakespearean performance.
