session duly asked for protests, if any, to the proposed annexation
<br /> and has given all persons full opportunity to protest said annexa-
<br /> tion and has received evidence relevant to such annexation; and
<br /> WHEREAS, this Council at the time of said hearing has found
<br /> and determined that protest to the proposed annexation of the here-
<br /> inafter described territory to the City of Redwood City has not
<br /> been made by owners of one-half of the value of said territory as
<br /> shown by the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San
<br /> Mateo, California, nor by public and private owners equal to one-
<br /> half of the value of said designated territory as determined by
<br /> said Council;
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Redwood City does
<br /> hereby approve the annexation to the City of Redwood City of all
<br /> the territory designated as "Elks Annexational and hereinafter
<br /> described, and does also hereby ordain that said territory be
<br /> and is hereby annexed to the City of Redwood City. The above men-
<br /> tioned territory which is designated as '`Elks Annexation" is all
<br /> that territory situate in the County of San Mateo, State of
