ORDINANCE NO . 942 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO . 525 , EN- TITLED "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS OF THE MEMBERS THEREOF AND DEFINING THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF SUCH COMMISS ION, " TO PROVIDE THAT THE REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION SHALL BE IN THE VETERANS MEMORIAL BUILDING, REDWOOD CITY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : SECTION 1 . Section 3 of Ordinance No . 525 , entitled "An Ordinance Establishing a Park and Recreation Commission of the City of Redwood City and Prescribing the Terms of the Members Thereof and Defining the Powers and Duties of Such Commission, " adopted August 6 , 1945 , is hereby amended to read as follows : "Section 3 . Regular meetings of the Commission shall be held once a month at the Veterans Memorial Building, 1455 Madison Avenue , Redwood City, upon a date to be fixed and determined by the Commission . All meetings shall be open to the public . Meetings of the Commission shall be presided over by the Chairman, or in his absence by the Vice-Chairman, or in his absence by a Chairman pro tem, selected at such meeting by the members present . Special meetings may be called at any time by the Chairman, Vice- Chairman, or any three ( 3) members of the Commission, pro- vided written notice is given each member, specifying the time thereof at least four (4) hours prior thereto . The Commission shall have available to it as it may require, the services of the City Engineer, City Attorney and other department heads who may be required to attend a meeting of the Commission to furnish technical advice and services , subject to their prior engagement in other public duties . " SECTION 2 . This ordinance shall be effective thirty ( 30) days after its adoption .
