1'95 <br /> That the total number of votes cast at said election was 2 , 766 , plus two <br /> absent voters ' ballots , making a total of 2 , 76g. <br /> That for Councilmen , the following candidates received the following <br /> number of votes : <br /> Cerqui , Eugene 1 , 335 votes <br /> Hohn, Willi am. , 1 , gl}g votes* <br /> Irwin , H. L 1 , 213 votes <br /> Jones , R. N 1 , 540 votes * <br /> McCarthy , Paul A 1 , 507 votes* <br /> McNulty , G. W. 1 , 742 votes* <br /> Wagner , P. S . 1 , 257 votes <br /> *Two more votes on account of absent voters ' ballots. <br /> That said Council finds that William Hahn , Robert N. Jones , Paul A. McCarthy and George <br /> W. McNulty received the highest number of votes for Councilmen , and upon motion of <br /> Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman Christensen , said William Hohn , Robert N. <br /> !Jones , Paul. A. McCarthy and George W. McNulty were declared elected members of the <br /> Council of the City of Redwood City for the full term of four ( 4) years each. <br /> Motion carried. unanimously. <br /> In connection with the proposed bond issue for Harbor , the City- Attorney and William <br /> Vielhauer , Editor of the Tribune , explained about certain difficulties which had <br /> arisen which perhaps might make it inadvisable to go ahead at this time . However , <br /> it was thought that the matter might be clarified by the following Monday and <br /> accordingly, it was decided to have a special adjourned meeting at that time. <br /> The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty , seconded by <br /> Councilman Jones. <br /> Before the retirement of Mayor Lambert , the City Clerk , on behalf of the Employees and <br /> Councilmen, complimented Mayor Lambert on the success of his incumbency and his <br /> civic consciousness , and presented to him a gold plated star of the Police Depart- <br /> ment bearing No . 1 . Following the presentation , Mayor Lambert thanked his fellow <br /> Councilmen , the Department Heads and Employees of the City for their consideration <br /> and cooperation , and expressed his regret that he was leaving the service of the <br /> City. <br /> Adjournment Aisika, �-�-- <br /> 71/ <br /> City C <br /> BEM : MR <br />
