Carried. <br /> Emil Dehoff and Eva Dehoff , his wife , and J . E. Cameron filed a petition requesting permission <br /> to withdraw their names from petition requesting the annexation of certain lands about the <br /> Harbor. Councilman Fletcher , seconded by Councilman Christensen , proposed the adoption <br /> of the following resolution permitting these persons to withdraw their names from the <br /> petition. Carried. <br /> RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that EMIL <br /> DEHOFF , MRS . EVA DEHOFF and J . E . CAMERON , the petitioners who hereto- <br /> fore filed a petition on the 21st day of December , 1936 , to annex certain <br /> contiguous territory to the City of Redwood City , the exterior boundaries <br /> thereof being described in said petition , be and each of them is hereby <br /> granted permission to withdraw his or her name from said petition. <br /> There was further discussion concerning the boundaries for the port district , and it was <br /> finally decided to omit all property belonging to the Pacific Portland Cement Company. <br /> Therefore , on motion of Councilman Eva , seconded by Councilman McNulty , the City <br /> Attorney was instructed to institute proceedings for the annexation of certain lands <br /> in accordance with the description furnished by the City Engineer. <br /> It was brought up for discussion what could be done to relieve the traffic condition at Broadway <br /> and Perry Street , and , on motion of Councilman Eva , seconded by Councilman McNulty , the <br /> City Manager was instructed to bring in a recommendation at the next meeting. <br /> The City Manager was asked to take up with the Southern Pacific Company the possibility of <br /> having some warning sign or barrier put up on the company ' s property directly opposite <br /> the end of Finger Avenue . The City Manager was also asked to investigate the necessity <br /> for a sign at Iris Street and Madison Avenue . <br /> In connection with the Harbor situation , on motion of Councilman Jones , seconded by Councilman <br /> Eva , and carried , it was decided to ask the City Manager to notify the State Director <br /> of the Public Works Administration that the City wished to withdraw its application for <br /> an extension of time , and proceed with the work in accordance with the terms of the <br /> original offer. <br /> On motion of Councilman Eva , seconded by Councilman McNulty , the City Attorney was instructed <br /> to file foreclosure proceedings against the Anglo-California National Bank and the <br /> Anglo California Trust Company. <br /> On motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman Christensen , the City Treasurer was asked <br /> to make a statement showing the amount of money in the 1915 Act funds for each series as <br /> of December 31 , 1936 , and also requested that the City Tax Collector furnish the 1915 <br />
