<br /> City of Redwood City and of the territorial limits thereof , the right of said
<br /> Pacific Portland Cement Company to dredge and/or remove such shell deposits
<br /> and/ or mud at such times and in such quantities and to such width or depth as
<br /> it may elect , within the boundaries of the. said Grass Island and Mud Island
<br /> properties owned by it as more particularly hereinafter described , shall con-
<br /> tinue in full force and effect to the same extent as the same existed im-
<br /> mediately prior to the adoption of said resolution of intention,. No. 1937-1 .
<br /> The Grass Island and Mud Island properties hereinabove referred to are all
<br /> that certain real property situate , lying , and being in the County of . San
<br /> Mateo , State of California, bounded and described as follows , to-wit :
<br /> Beginning at section corner common to Sections four ( 4 ) ,
<br /> five ( 5 ) , eight ( 8 ) , and nine ( 9 ) , Township five ( 5 ) south, Range
<br /> three ( 3 ) west , Mount Diablo Base and Meridian; . thence west thir-
<br /> teen and fifty hundredths ( 13 . 50 ) chains , south thirty and one-

<br /> -Survey No. g6 , San Mateo County, run by the true Meridian, Mag-
<br /> netic variation sixteen and one-half degrees (1 64°) east.
<br /> In connection with Mr. Weiner ' s letter concerning the Planning Commission, it was de-
<br /> cided that all names of applicants , or desirable prospective members , be filed with
<br /> the City Clerk until Monday evening , March g , and he was instructed to give all
<br /> names Tuesday morning to the members of the Council . The same was to be true con-
<br /> cerning the vacancy on the Library Board caused by the death of John Gill .
<br /> Councilman Eva requested the Council to authorize proposals for adjustments which his
<br /> committee had worked out , and on motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman
<br /> Fletcher , the Council ratified these proposals as itemized below:

<br /> Mayor McCarthy appointed Councilman McNulty and the City Attorney as a committee to
<br /> prepare resolution on the death of John Gill .
<br /> The Mayor also asked Councilman Fletcher to serve with the City Manager and Julius Smith
<br /> on a committee to see what could be done about the destruction caused by termites.
<br /> The Clerk was asked to write the Trustees of the Sequoia Union High School concerning
<br /> the possibility of including in the budget for the next year the cost of a sidewalk
<br /> on the north side of James Street between El Camino Real and Elwood Street and to
<br /> ask also what , if anything , was being done concerning the high fence along Broadway
<br /> and Brewster Avenue .
<br /> After explanation by the City Manager , Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman McNulty,
<br /> proposed the adoption of resolution whereby the City would consent to N. 0 . Tyson ,
<br /> serving as a subcontractor under Healy-Tibbitts Construction Company.
