On motion
of Councilman Anderson , seconded by Councilman Fletcher , the Clerk was asked to
write a letter to the management of the Tabernacle , indicating that there was
criticism of the building being located at that place and that it was the desire
of the Council that the building be removed on or before the date originally
agreed upon.
The Clerk was instructed to bring up at the first meeting in January the following :
building at corner of El Camino and Harrison , building at the corner of Bradford
and Middlefield , building at 235 Pennsylvania Avenue , Hiliview Avenue 1911 Act
Bond Resolution.
On motion of Councilman Fletcher , seconded by Councilman McNulty , the City Clerk was
directed to write a letter to the owner of Lot 5 , Block 2 , Dingee Park , to ask
him to improve the appearance of the lot .
At this meeting there was again brought up for discussion the question of what to do
about real estate signs. The Clerk had requested Mrs . Dusel and Mr . Marlow to
appear in an effort to get them to cooperate with the other realtors . Several
real estate agents were present and entered into a discussion , and a letter from
Mrs. Dusel was read. The prevailing theme was that all signs should be
eliminated , if any were . After much discussion , Councilman McCarthy , seconded
by Councilman Fletcher , proposed that the City Attorney draw up a tentative
ordinance similar to the one already introduced before the Council at San Carlos
with copies being furnished to Councilmen and interested real estate brokers .
Councilman McCarthy , seconded by Councilman McNulty , proposed the final passage of
Ordinance No . 4lg regulating bicycle traffic.
