P- 2323 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION AND <br /> DISPLAY BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF A WORK OF <br /> PUBLIC ART AT A LOCATION IN THE PORT WATERFRONT <br /> PUBLIC ACCESS AREA - (HERON SCULPTURE) <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City ("City") has entered into an <br /> agreement (the "Agreement") dated December 12, 2015, with David Han <br /> ("Artist") for the design, creation and installation of a "Heron" sculpture (the <br /> "Sculpture") to be installed and maintained at the Port of Redwood City (the <br /> "Port"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Port wishes to express its consent and approval to the <br /> installation and maintenance of the Sculpture at the Port. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS : <br /> 1 . The Port authorizes the installation and maintenance of the <br /> Sculpture at the Port at the location shown on Exhibit A based <br /> upon the understanding with the City that: <br /> a. The City will maintain and repair the Sculpture and the base <br /> upon which the Sculpture will be installed (collectively, the <br /> "Work of Art"); and <br /> b. The City will alter, repair, modify, remove, relocate, from time to <br /> time , the Work of Art at the Port, upon request by the Port; and <br /> • <br /> F/sh/sh/Port 1 <br /> Reso 242 <br /> 08/12/16 <br />
