M . <br /> Upon roll call , the following Councilmen were present : Mayor W . J . Dusel , H . A. Beeger , R . N . Jones , <br /> C . J . Hildebrant , C . G. Lambert , Paul A. McCarthy , Geo . W . McNulty . City Clerk , B . E . Myers . <br /> Absent : None . <br /> Minutes of January 3 were approved on motion of Councilman Lambert , seconded by Councilman McNulty . <br /> G. p . Casaretto appeared before the Council and asked when it would be possible for him to receive <br /> his share of the money to be paid out of the Hudson Street fund. The City Attorney explained <br /> that it was necessary to get an extra signature to some deeds but that he thought the matter <br /> could be cleared up promptly . <br /> Mr . Alec Clark , of Hare , Brewer & Clark appeared before the Council to ask for a permit to erect a <br /> service station in the name of General Properties , Inc . , at the corner of Hamilton and Theatre <br /> Streets . After the Council had been told by the Building Inspector that everything was in order , <br /> and the City Clerk stated that the Planning Commission had approved the project , the permit as <br /> requested was given , on motion of Councilman Lambert , seconded by Councilman Hildebrant . <br /> Mr . R. I . Shields representing the Veteran Organizations of Redwood City appeared before the Council to <br /> ask assistance in connection with the new building projects at Mezes Hall , requesting specifically <br /> that the City undertake to build a sidewalk and roadway from Standish Street to entrance . On <br /> motion of Councilman Lambert , seconded by Councilman McNulty , the City Manager was instructed to <br /> proceed with the construction , with the understanding that the estimated cost would be $150. 00 . <br /> The request from the League of Municipalities for $50 . 00 to assist in certain legislation was laid over <br /> until the next meeting. <br /> The question of more insurance on the contents of the City Hall and the amount of insurance that should <br /> be placed on the Fire House was brought up for discussion and the matter was referred to the City <br /> Manager to investigate with the assistance of the City Attorney . <br /> Councilman Jones asked if part of the money remaining in the Hudson Street Bridge fund might not be used <br /> for rocking part of Hudson Street from Jefferson Avenue to Madison Avenue and from Vera Avenue to <br /> Roosevelt Avenue to make it available in wet weather .
