RESOLVED that the said offer of the Emerald Lake Water Company be and is hereby accepted , provided , 1 . That title to said properties be found clear and free from all encum- brance , 2 . That the Emerald Lake Water Company furnish to the City of Redwood City sufficient right-of-way for its main transmission lines , about a mile in length, 3 . That the Emerald Lake Water Company furnish to the City of Redwood City an appropriate site , not exceeding two acres , for a permanent reservoir , 4. That the Emerald Lake Water Company assign to the City of Redwood City any and all contracts for water now held by them, 5 . That pending the consummation of the transaction the Emerald Lake Water Company turn over to the City of Redwood City for collection all Accounts Receivable and that such receipts be applicable to the operating of said utility and to the balance due on account to the City of Redwood City . AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that appropriate application be made to the Railroad Commission of the State of California for authority to transfer and receive said properties of the Emerald Lake Water Company together with all contracts for water . The foregoing Resolution was duly passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 23d day of January , 1933 by the following vote ; Ayes and in favor of the adoption of the Resolution : Councilmen , H. A. Beeger , C . J . Hildebrant , R . N. Jones , C . G. Lambert , F . A. McCarthy , G. W. McNulty , W. J. Dusel . Noes and against the adoption of the Resolution : Councilmen , None . PROPOSAL TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Redwood City , of its own motion and suggestion , proposes that the charter of the City of Redwood City be amended as follows , to-wit : That Subdivision 12 of Section 3 of the charter of the City of Redwood City be amended to read as follows , to-wit : Section 3--Subdivision 12 . To acquire , own , construct , maintain and operate bus lines , street railways , telephone and telegraph lines , steam railway spur tracks ,
