<br />Page 2 of 14 <br />ATTY/RESO.0082/CC RESO DTPP AMENDMENT TO PRESERVE AND EXPAND ACTIVE GROUND FLOOR USES <br />REV: 09-08-16 RL <br />they are in the public interest and consistent with the Redwood City General Plan and <br />Downtown Precise Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, a notice of public hearing on the DTPP Amendment was duly <br />published in the Daily News at least 10 days prior to the public hearing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 12, 2016, the City Council held a public hearing on the <br />proposed DTPP Amendment and on said date the public hearing was opened, held and <br />closed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the public hearing, the City Council considered the whole of the <br />record. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct, and are hereby <br />incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council hereby finds that the proposed DTPP Amendment is <br />in the public interest and consistent with the Redwood City General Plan and Downtown <br />Precise Plan. <br /> <br />Section 3. This proposed DTPP Amendment has been reviewed with respect to <br />applicability of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") and the State CEQA <br />Guidelines (California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Sections 15000 et seq.). The <br />proposed DTPP Amendments falls within the requirements of Section 15183, “Projects <br />Consistent with a Community Plan, General Plan, or Zoning.” The amendments are <br />consistent with the DTPP, including the stated vision and guiding principles, do not impact <br />the approved density for the DTPP area, comply with the General Plan, including the <br />goals, policies, and programs, and are consistent with the program-level Environmental <br />Impact Report for the DTPP, certified in 2011 (State Clearinghouse #2006052072). <br /> <br />Section 4. The City Council hereby adopts amendments to DTPP Sections 2.0.1, <br />2.0.2, 2.1, 2.1.2, 2.2., 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.2.3, 2.2.4, 2.8.4 and A1.2.1 by adding the text shown <br />in double underline (example) and deleting the text shown in strikeout (example), as <br />provided in Exhibit A, and replacing the Historic Resources Preservation Chart, Use <br />Regulations Map and Use Regulations Chart as shown in Exhibits B, C and D, <br />respectively. Wording in brackets ([example]) is informational only and is not to be <br />included in the published DTPP. (Exhibit A). <br /> <br />7.A. - Page 12
