Types of Non-Contributing Structures <br />Pursuant to the United States Department of the Interior Standards regarding the formation of a <br />Historic District, the following statement describes the type and character of the non-contributing <br />structures within the proposed district boundaries. <br />There are seven non-contributing properties in the expanded district, which represents 2.13 acres, or <br />28.4%, of the total area. The eight non-contributing structures in expanded district can be <br />characterized primarily as one- and two-story masonry urban commercial buildings from the mid to <br />late twentieth century. A notable exception to this general characterization would be 1991 Broadway, <br />which is large-footprint 3 story office building. The non-contributing structures have little or no front and <br />side setbacks. Lot coverage is high, in some cases up to 100%.
