EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br /> Introduction: <br /> Contractor will provide rental, laundering and delivery of uniforms for the Public Works <br /> Services pepartment. Services shall include laundering and repair of rented uniforms. <br /> The Contractor shall replace used and worn uniforms with uniforms that meet City image <br /> requirements, with new or slightly used replacement garments through the U.S. <br /> Communities Program, as needed at no cost to the City. Contractor shall furnish all <br /> materials, labor services and special skills required to provide these services as described <br /> below. <br /> Launder: <br /> Contractor shall launder rented uniforms. City employees may launder rented uniforms <br /> themselves, on occasion. Contractor shall supply bins to City to store soiled uniforms for <br /> pickup. <br /> Contractor shall supply lockers to City for storage of uniforms. Clothing shall be ironed <br /> and pressed or run through the steam tunnel for crisp finished product. <br /> RentaL• <br /> The Contractor shall provide uniform rental and cleaning services for approximately one <br /> hundred (100) employees who work for the Public Works Services Department at 1400 <br /> Broadway Street Redwood City, CA 94063. Divisions within the Department are: Fleet, <br /> Custodial, Facility, Meter Shop, Water, Sewer, Storm, Streets, Trees, Paint and Sign, and <br /> Parking Meter. <br /> Inventory Tracking: <br /> Contractor shall maintain sufficient stock to provide complete new uniform sets within one <br /> week for newly hired employees. <br /> The inventory per person per week will be based upon the previous year's usage and are <br /> only estimated for future requirements. The number of changes per employee per week <br /> shall be at the discretion of the City and is subject to change to meet changing <br /> requirements of the City operations. <br /> Measurement of Individuals: <br /> Contractor shall be responsible for individual measurements and actual fit of the uniforms. <br /> Contractor shall provide uniforms for all employees; from size XS — 6 XL and size 28 <br /> inseam to 36 inseam with waist size 28 to 60. All uniforms, when issued at the initial start <br /> of service must be new, and used uniforms shall be issued to the City's image <br /> requirements during the period of the contract. Contractor shall provide new or slightly <br /> used replacement garments through U.S. Communities Program, that meet the City <br /> image requirements at no extra cost when the uniform has reached the end of its life <br /> span.
