Amend Resolution 14476 with an inclusion that authorizes the City Manager or <br />designee to approve settlement of claims made by the City of Redwood City <br />against other parties for $15,000.00 or less. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION 14595 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY DELEGATING TO THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS /HER DESIGNEE AUTHORITY <br />TO ADMINISTER AND MANAGE CLAIMS AND ACTIONS AGAINST THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY OR ITS OFFICERS OR EMPLOYEES AND CLAIMS AND ACTIONS <br />OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AGAINST ANOTHER PARTY; AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTION 14476 <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. Submittal of Equalized General Improvement District 1 -64 Assessment Roll -- <br />Board of Equalization (510) <br />Financial Services Accountant Greenhorn explained the annual process and that <br />all property owners received a letter explaining the process and any questions <br />can be directed to the Financial Services Division. <br />Mayor Ira opened the public hearing. <br />Public Comment: <br />John Murphy, resident and homeowner of GID 1 -64 for 35 years, reminded the <br />City Council that it wears dual hats, one that of Board of Directors of the General <br />Improvement District. He thanked Alison Freeman for the copy of the report that <br />is also available at Sandpiper School for anyone who might care to find the <br />value of the properties. He encouraged promoting voter registration in the area <br />and complimented the Council in its approach to the Marina Shores <br />development. <br />M/S Foust/Bain to close the public hearing. The motion passed by a <br />unanimous voice vote. <br />M/S Ruskin /Howard to accept the equalized assessment roll for the General <br />Improvement District 1 -64 for the 2004 -05 fiscal year. The motion passed by a <br />unanimous voice vote by those present.
