In response to Council questions City Attorney Schricker advised Council to <br />negotiate specific terms for all the tenants to be out of the A -1 Motel, <br />and that the loan from the Redevelopment Agency to the owners of the A -1 <br />Motel could have conditions. <br />Don Bryant, Legal Aid Society, representing the tenants asked the Council to <br />delay putting a deadline on relocation until the tenants have the resources <br />to relocate, which will be after the Agency and the owners approve the <br />settlement. <br />Redevelopment Agency Director Church requested Council to approve the loan to <br />the owners at the same interest rate Redevelopment funds are earning at the <br />present time. <br />M /S: Claire /Buchan to direct staff to approve loan funds to relocate tenants <br />at the A -1 Motel in the amount of $1,500 per household, to have the loan <br />secured by a lien, to loan the funds at the same interest rate Redevelopment <br />Agency funds are currently earning, to require repayment of the loan from <br />construction financing received by the owners, and to establish August 31, <br />1990 as the date all tenants are to be out of the A -1 Motel. <br />Carried by the following roll call vote: <br />AYES: Directors Buchan, Claire, Greenalch and Vice Chairman Bury <br />NOES: Director Stangel <br />MINUTE ORDER N0.
