5. PUBLIC HEARING - consideration of the Density Bonus Policy Statement and <br />adding Section 32.19 to the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance which would allow <br />density bonuses for low and moderate income housing in residentially zoned <br />districts (203 -01) <br />Report: Planning Commission, October 15, 1990 <br />Mayor La Berge announced if no one had any objections, and if no one wished <br />to speak to this issue, this item would be continued to a date to be <br />determined, after such date was legally noticed. <br />No one wished to speak. <br />M /S: Greenalch /Stangel to continue this item to a date to be determined. <br />Carried by unanimous voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 90 -155 <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />None <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />a. Councilman Murray reported on the meeting sponsored by Hope House held in <br />the Fair Oaks Community Center on October 9th and also attended by Mayor La <br />Berge and Councilwoman Buchan. Policy on non - discrimination based on handicap in federally assisted program <br />and activities <br />Report: Community Development Director, October 10, 1990 <br />Housing Coordinator Jones - Thomas presented the staff report and described <br />requirements and definitions according to Section 504 of the Fair Housing <br />Amendments Act. Also, a separate committee is necessary as HUD requires 60% <br />of the people on the committee to be those impacted by the policy or those <br />who provide services. <br />Council discussed appointing a staff member rather than hiring a new <br />employee to coordinate City's responsibilities. <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 50 Reg.
