6.1.K. - Page 1 <br /> REPORT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the City Manager <br /> October 17, 2016 <br /> SUBJECT <br /> Amendment No. 4 to the Agreement with Management Partners, Inc. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager execture Amendment No. 4 to the <br /> Agreement with Management Partners, Inc. for consulting services pertaining to closure <br /> of Docktown Marina and relocation of tenants, expanding the scope of services, <br /> extending the term to December 31 , 2017, and increasing contract value by an amount <br /> not to exceed $50,000, resulting in an aggregate agreement amount not to exceed <br /> $109,500 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> In July 2015, the City entered into a professional services agreement with Management <br /> Partners, Inc., to provide the City with project management assistance on several City <br /> projects, including: Docktown Marina, providing an assessment of City-owned parcels <br /> and properties, and implementing the Community Benefits ordinance. The agreement <br /> was for an amount not to exceed $59,000, and was amended on three previous <br /> occasions to revise the scope of services, which included facilitating two City Council <br /> retreats. Amendment #4 is to provide additional funding and amend the scope of <br /> services to this agreement. <br /> ANALYSIS <br /> The City has been pleased with Management Partners Inc.'s work and wishes to <br /> continue contracting with the firm to provide specialized staff assistance on several City <br /> projects, including: Docktown Marina, updating the City-owned parcels and property <br /> inventory and providing recommendations for long-term use, and provide facilitation <br /> services for Council workshops. Staff is seeking an additional $50,000 in funding <br /> through FY 2016-17 to continue this work. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> The Council may elect not to authorize the City Manager to execute the amendment. <br />
