8.A. - Page 10 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The foregoing recitals are, and each of them is, true and correct <br /> and constitute the findings in this matter. <br /> SECTION 2. The Redwood City Municipal Code is hereby amended as shown in <br /> the following Sections by adding the text shown in underline (example) and deleting the <br /> text shown in strikeout (example). The preceding Section and all text in brackets, <br /> [example] are informational only and need not be published in the Municipal Code. <br /> SECTION 3. Section 2.27.6 "General Municipal Elections" of the Redwood City <br /> Municipal Code is hereby amended as follows: <br /> Sec. 2.27.6 — GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS: <br /> A. Pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 36503.5Elections Code <br /> Sections 1301 and 10403.5, made applicable by Section 4 of the Charter of the <br /> City of Redwood City, this Council does hereby require and order that general <br /> municipal elections of the City of Redwood City shall be held in said City on the <br /> same day as school district elections statewide general elections as specified in <br /> Section 2602 1200 of the Elections Code, to wit: the first Tuesday after the first <br /> Monday in November of each ed-seven-numbered year, commencing with said <br /> election in November, 19952018, and continuing thereafter so long as this section <br /> shall remain in effect. <br /> B. This Council hereby finds and determines that, as a result of the adoption of the <br /> ordinance from which this section is derived, no term of office of any elective officer <br /> of this City shall be increased or decreased by more than twelve (12) months. <br /> SECTION 4.
