6.1.C. - Page 3 <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> Annual expenditures for electrical maintenance and repair services total approximately <br /> $330,000 for 58 signalized intersections, 5,500 street lights, six lighted crosswalks, <br /> approximately 210 monthly responses to Underground Service Alert Locate and Mark <br /> requests, and additional work to service and repair minor items such as speed feedback <br /> signs, flashing beacons, and other electrical items. Cal-West's proposal included the <br /> lowest mark up on materials, the lowest hourly rate for additional work during business <br /> hours and no additional charge for Quarterly Night Surveys for street light outages. <br /> Funds are available in the approved Electrical Maintenance subprogram of the Public <br /> Works budget to provide for this expense. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br /> The actions proposed in this report are considered Categorically Exempt pursuant to <br /> Section 15301 (Class 1) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines. <br /> Class 1, "Existing Facilities", allows for maintenance and repair of existing facilities <br /> involving negligible or no expansion of use of the existing facilities.
