EXHIBIT A Hawes Park Outfield Fence Project The project scope consists of 110 linear feet of chain link galvanized fence, posts and support structure that is approximately 30' in height at Oak Street near the intersection of Hudson Street in Redwood City, California. Consultant will perform the following tasks: O Develop a mutually agreeable schedule with City staff for the work that will not exceed a two week period of total project endurance. ® Install approximately 250' of temporary fence panels with stands to secure the work area before the demolition begins. O Furnish traffic cones and signs that reroute traffic as needed and to block parking spaces on Oak Avenue to avoid conflicts with work area . O Provide code compliant traffic control at any time vehicular traffic is impeded due to work activities. O Remove existing chain link mesh, rails , brace bands and vertical posts to ground level from 110' of the fence structure starting at the center field mark and working toward Hudson Street. O Install ( 10) new 4" SCH40 galvanized posts 10' on center and ( 1 ) new 6 5/8" SCH40 galvanized terminal post set in 12" diameter holes at a depth of 10' in "wet set" concrete. (Soil from holes will hauled away by the Contractor.) O Extend fence posts in the field to the 30' height by welding 3 %/2" sleeves installed on the inside of each 4" post and a 5 9116' sleeve inside of the 6 5/8" terminal post. O Wire brush and cold galvanize all welds in field . O Weld top rail , sleeves, rail ends and brace bands. O Reuse Old 1 5/8" Fence frame material . O Replace the lower 8' tall section of chain link fence mesh with new 9 gauge galvanized chain link mesh. (110 linear feet total .) O Store all other chain link fence mesh on site at a mutually agreeable location and reinstalled after posts and rails are replaced . O Attach mesh to posts and rails in the following manner; Tie wires will be 9 gauge steel and double wrapped at all locations. Tie wires shall be installed at intermediate posts spaced at 14" on center and to top and bottom rails at approximately 2' on center. O Upgrade ( 1 ) 4" OD line post to a 6 5/8" OD line post. Payment in the amount of $46,245.00 will be made to the Contractor after all work outlined in Exhibit A and associated cleanup has been completed to the satisfaction of the City.
