The project is currently in the planning <br /> and entitlement stage, with construction anticipated to commence in early 2017. <br /> • Mental Health Association of San Mateo County— Waverly Apartments: Site <br /> acquisition and site clearance expenses for the construction of 15 units of <br /> permanent supportive housing for extremely low income households. The project <br /> is currently in the planning and entitlement stage. <br /> • MidPen Housing - City Center Apartments — Funds for property rehabilitation <br /> activities to preserve 81 units of multifamily rental housing affordable to very low <br /> income households. This also extended the time period for affordability of the <br /> units. <br /> • HIP Housing Development Corporation: Funds for the rehabilitation of three <br /> different affordable rental housing properties to preserve existing housing for very <br /> low income households. <br /> • Center for Independence of Individuals with Disabilities — Housing <br /> Accessibility Modifications: Funds to provide free modifications for extremely <br /> low, very low and low income persons with disabilities to allow them to live <br /> independently in their homes. <br /> • Rebuilding Together — National Rebuild Day: Volunteers provide free home <br /> repairs on National Rebuilding Day each April to very low income homeowners to <br /> eliminate code violations and make health, safety and energy efficiency <br /> improvements to preserve existing affordable housing. <br /> • Rebuilding Together — Minor Home Repair Program: Provides extremely low, <br /> very low and low income elderly and/or disabled households with free minor <br /> home repairs throughout the year that they could not otherwise afford allowing <br /> them to maintain safe and healthy housing. This program also serves owners of <br /> mobile homes in two mobile home parks located in Redwood City. <br /> • Project Sentinel — Fair Housing Services: Provides fair housing services to <br /> Redwood City residents. They investigate alleged housing discrimination, <br /> conduct audit-based tests for housing discrimination and provide tenant/landlord <br /> assistance and public education on fair housing laws to the community. <br /> • HIP Housing - Home Sharing Program: Assists Redwood City housing seekers <br /> in locating affordable shared housing by matching them with housing providers, <br /> helping to increase affordable housing options and prevent homelessness. <br /> • Home Improvement Loan Program — Low interest loans are provided to low <br /> income homeowners and owners of multifamily housing (occupied by low income <br /> Page 14 <br />
