damage which may arise from County's operations under this Contract, whether such operations be by County or by any sub-contractor or by anyone directly or indirectly employed by either of them. The mount of such insurance shall be five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) combined single limit bodily injury and property damage for each occurrence. After three (3) weeks from the date this Contract is first executed, the City may, at its sole discretion, require an increase in the amount of liability insurance to the level then customary in similar City Contracts by giving sixty (60) days notice to County. The City and its officers, agents, employees and servants shall be named as additional insured on any such policies of insurance, which shall also contain a provision that the insurance afforded thereby to the City, its officers, agents, employees and servants shall be primary insurance to the full limits of liability of the policy, and that if the City, or its officers and ~mployees have other insurance against a loss covered by such a policy, such other insurance shall be excess insurance only. 2). In the event of the breach of any provision of this section, or in the event any notice is received which indicates any required insurance coverage will be diminished or canceled, the City's Housing Coordinator, at his or her option, may, notwithstanding any other provision of this Contract to the contrary, immediately declare a material breach of this Contract and suspend all further work pursuant to this Contract. 3) County is a legally self-insured public entity, and may alternately provide the levels of liability, workers compensation, vehicle liability and professional coverage through its self-insurance program to and including any excess insurance coverage supplementing the County's self-insurance program. J. Changes to Work SO0p~ No changes in the scope of work as described in this Contract shall be made without written approval of the City. K. AssignabiliW The County shall not assign in this Contract, and shall not transfer any interest in the same (whether by assignment or novation), without the prior written consent of the City thereto, provided, however, that claims for money due or to become due to the County from the City under this Contract may be assigned to a bank, trust company, or other financial institution without such approval. Notice of such assignment or transfer shall be furnished promptly to the City. Any transfer or assignment of the interest in the partnership shall require the prior, written consent of the City. L. Inspection of Work It is understood that periodic review of the County's work may be necessary and the right to so review is reserved by the City.
