Public Hearing Notice

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Redwood City (City) will hold a public hearing at the
stated time and place to consider the following matter:

Project: Vacation of Right-of-way – Portion of Hancock Street, Spruce Street, and
Buckeye Street
Date and Time: December 12, 2016, 7:00 PM
Place: Council Chambers, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: On August 16, 2016 the planning commission approved the vesting tentative
map to merge multiple parcels into a single developable lot, and construct a four story, 37,207 square foot
mixed used building at 1629 Main St. Due to the complicated nature of the underlying fee ownership for the
parcels, the City is required to follow the streets and highways code and the general vacation procedure.
There are City owned utilities located within the easement area, and so several easement reservations are
required as part of the project. No franchise utility companies have requested easement reservations when
contacted about the vacation.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: As the lead agency, City of Redwood City has determined that the actions
proposed in this reports do not constitute a project as defined by the California Environmental Quality Act.

BACKGROUND AND OTHER INFORMATION:

A resolution of intent to vacate the right-of-way being a portion of Hancock Street, Spruce Street, and Buckeye
Street, containing the conditions required to be satisfied prior to such vacation taking effect, is on file for public
inspection and copying for the cost of duplication at the office of the City Engineer, City Hall, 1017 Middlefield
Road, Redwood City, between the hours of 8:00 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays.

All testimony must either be given in person at the time of the public hearing or received in writing by the City
Engineer prior to the date of the public hearing. Testimony cannot be given over the telephone. If you
challenge any of the foregoing described actions in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you
or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to
the City Council at, or prior to, said public hearing. Questions or written comments about this project and/or
the public hearing should be directed to:

M.
