parking stops are in poor condition before the removal, Contractor is not
responsible for purchasing new units.
C. "E" Wells Area
• Contractor will drill three temporary injection points using direct push
technology to a depth of approximately 22.5 feet below ground surface.
• Contractor will inject a total of 90 gallons of EVO reducing agent into three
boreholes (30 gallons at each borehole), between depths of 8.5 and 22.5 feet
below ground surface, arranged in an equilateral formation around monitoring
well E-11A and spaced 10 feet apart.
• Contractor will inject EVO in a bottom to top injection process at 1 -foot
intervals.
• Contractor will calculate and field verify the targeted radius of influence.
• Contractor will abandon all borings after injection operations are completed
by grouting via a tremie pipe to the ground surface using a cement/bentonite
slurry. '
D. Demobilization
• Contractor will breakdown and remove all materials and equipment from the
site upon conclusion of field activities in a timely manner, and no later than
one day after project activities have ended.
• City may require power washing the asphalt surface to remove residuals.
• Contractor is responsible for removing and correctly disposing of all general
refuse from project activities from the site.
• Contractor will place all investigation derived waste, including but not limited
to soil cuttings, groundwater development water, and sampling purge water, in
drums and stage onsite for classification and disposal.
Task 6 - Monitoring Well Installation
Contractor will install a 2-inch monitoring well in the PRB Emplacement Area prior to pilot test
activities. The monitoring well will be constructed to the following specifications:
• Total depth of 18 feet below ground surface
• Screened from 8 feet to 18 feet with 0.010 slot
• Filter pack from 7 to 18 feet with 2/12 sand
• Bentonite from 6 to 7 feet
• Cement grout from 0.5 to 6 feet
• 8-inch traffic rated flush mount manhole
Contractor will install a mechanical packer and pressure gauge with drag-arm indicator to
monitor for pressure propagation during injection in the PRB Emplacement Area.
Task 7 - Report
Contractor will submit a report to the City upon completion of pilot test activities containing
tabulated data obtained from the pilot tests, and review and interpretation of the data.
