<br />10/22/2003 14:03 650261'3102 RWC CITY CLERK PAGE 03 <br /> '\)~~~ (08/11/03) <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Human Investment Project <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 15th day of August, 2003, by and <br />between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY. a municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") <br />and Human Investment Project, a Califomia nonprofit organization ("Contractor"); <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br /> WHEREAS. Contractor provides assistance to improve the housing conditions and life <br />skills of those with special needs - single parents, children. elderly, disabled, the homeless and <br />those at risk of becoming homeless: and <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the <br />program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, and ending June <br />30,2004: and <br /> WHEREAS. City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum <br />of Twelve Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($12,000); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE. the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Twelve <br />Thousand and NoI100 Dollars ($12.000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 2003. and ending June 30, 2004, solely for the purposes described in <br />paragraph 2. <br /> 2. USE QF FUNDS Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 <br />solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibit ftA" (Contract ObjectiVes) attached hereto <br />and by this reference Incorporated herein. <br /> 3. CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program described in this <br />agreement which are funded by the financial assistance provided under paragraph 1 shall be <br />made without the prior written consent of City. <br />- -- TO. . ,...- <br />
