<br />Victoria Krohr, 1169 Fairview Avenue, Redwood City advised Council <br />increasing the number of children allowed in family day care homes from 6 to <br />12 will negatively impact residential neighborhoods by increasing traffic, <br />noise and parking problems, and expose children to untrained personnel. <br />Mrs. Krohr advised state law was not restrictive enough and training of care <br />givers was inadequate. <br /> <br />Council Members discussed child care requirements and impositions contained <br />in state law that affect municipalities; including, cities precluded from <br />establishing criteria for training and licensing. <br /> <br />MIS: Stangel/Murray to close the public hearing. <br />Carried by unanimous voice vote and public hearing closed at 8:09 p.m. <br /> <br />Title read.
