She reviewed the revised language of the Zoning Ordinance <br />Purpose. She stated that they standardized the process for concurrent <br />review, the length of review periods, policies regarding interpretations. She <br />stated that Staff they removed some application requirements from Zoning <br />Code. Principal Planner O’Dell and City <br />Attorney Ramirez stated the specific process for call-up procedures. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hunter recommended that the Planning Commission be <br />given the ability to call-up in addition to the City Council. City Attorney <br />Ramirez clarified the legal ramifications and conflicts that may occur if both <br />the City Council and Planning Commission were given the ability to call up. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Bondonno asked for greater clarification for on the appeals <br />process. City Attorney Ramirez discussed the due process of the appeals <br />process. There was a discussion about the appeals process. It was stated <br />that there is one opportunity for the public to appeal a decision made by the <br />Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hunter read the language from proposed section 41.7H that <br />appeared to suggest a decision could be appealed twice. City Attorney <br />Ramirez stated she believes this language is a drafting error, and will be <br />corrected in the City Council resolution. <br /> <br />Commissioner White comments that he is very comfortable with the <br />proposed language changes. <br /> <br />Commissioner Guerrero expressed concern that lowering the threshold will <br />increase the workload of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Commissioner White suggested that a flow chart of the processes would be <br />very beneficial to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />7.C. - Page 49
