ORIGINAL AGREEMENT Redwood Parents Nursery School Playground Safety Compliance Project THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~ay of C~ , 2003, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and Redwood Parents Nursery School, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); WIT N E SSE T H: WHEREAS, Contractor desires to renovate/improve its facility (the "Project), located at 3997 Jefferson Avenue, Redwood City, California, which provides services to low and moderate income families of preschool children who are residents of the City; and WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to complete the Project that will benefit residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, and ending June 30, 2004; and WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and the Project and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of Twenty Thousand no/100 Dollars ($20,000) from its Community Development Block Grant funds for the Project; NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Twenty Thousand no/100 Dollars ($20,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, and ending June 30, 2004, solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to Paragraph 1 solely for the Project purposes described in Exhibits A (Budget) and Exhibit B (Contractor Objectives), attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. 9/11/03 1 - -. - "'- _. .".... -.-..... -
