The pipeline will connect to the existing 16-inch <br /> diameter potable water pipeline at the intersection of Shearwater and Redwood <br /> Shores Parkways. <br />· A new 30-inch diameter recycled water and a new or converted potable water <br /> pipeline will connect to pipelines being designed and constructed by the SBSA at <br /> the intersection of Radio Road and the SBSA Treatment Works access road, <br /> near Dog Park. It is anticipated that the existing 12-inch diameter recycled water <br /> pipelines in Redwood Shores Parkway and Radio Road, if they are not converted <br /> to potable water backup, will need to be removed to provide adequate space for <br /> construction of the new 30-inch diameter recycled water pipeline and preserve <br /> space for the 16-inch or 20-inch diameter standby connection to the potable <br /> supply. This will require a temporary potable water service connection or above <br /> ground temporary pipeline to coordinate shutdown during construction. <br />· A new 14-inch diameter recycled water pipeline will connect to an existing 14- <br /> inch diameter recycled water pipeline serving the First Step Project in <br /> Shearwater Parkway, just east of the Laguna Pointe Development. Consultant <br /> will provide a strategy for continuous service to existing First Step customers <br /> during construction and activation of new distribution system. <br />· A new 24-inch diameter recycled water pipeline will be constructed in Redwood <br /> Shores Parkway approximately 1000 feet west of the intersection of Redwood <br /> Shores Parkway and Twin Dolphin Drive. The termination of this pipeline will <br /> serve as the future connection point for the future Skyway Project Area. <br />General Assumptions <br />The overall approach to this work builds upon the previous design for the City's <br />Highway 101 Bike Path Pipeline Project and subsequent scoping discussions between <br />City staff and Consultant. The underlying general assumptions are used to prepare <br />this proposal are summarized as follows. Exceptions are noted in the following section <br />of this exhibit. The work will be performed on a time and materials basis - as <br />requested - and not to exceed the compensation limit. <br />Limits of Scope <br />· This proposal is for the Redwood Shores Project Area pipelines only. <br /> Subsequent proposals for the three remaining distribution projects will be <br /> provided upon request from the City. <br />· The design services will be performed over a 9-month period. <br />· Any new rights-of-way, easements or license agreements that are required for <br /> this project will be obtained by the City. <br />Agreement over $10K 11 <br />KennedyJenks Rev-2 112603 <br />. - - _. -..._. ._..
