08/23/2004 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14602 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN <br />AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR COMPREHENSIVE STREET <br />TREE MAINTENANCE WITH ARBORICULTURAL SPECIALTIES, INC. <br />DBA THE PROFESSIONAL TREE CARE COMPANY <br />WHEREAS, on June 11, 2001, the City Council of Redwood City authorized <br />entering into an agreement for comprehensive street tree maintenance with <br />Arboricultural Specialties, Inc. dba The Professional Tree Care Company. The <br />agreement provided for extensions up to four (4) additional years; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 11, 2002 and August 25, 2003, the City Council, among <br />other things, authorized extending the agreement for one additional year, respectively; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to extend the agreement for an additional one -year <br />period, reduce the scope of service amount and retain the ability to add additional <br />funds to the agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That certain amendment by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />Arboricultural Specialties, Inc. dba The Professional Tree Care Company, for <br />comprehensive street tree maintenance is hereby approved and the City Manager and <br />City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and to attest thereto, respectively, said <br />amendment on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Atty /Reso /Reso.1485 14602 <br />081704 Muff # 304 <br />
