6.1.G. - Page 14
o Facilitation of meeting to maximize public engagement including Spanish
interpretation
o Presentation to facilitate input and discussion, using base material
provided by design team
o Preparation of written summary of meeting
Prioritization of Street Enhancement Elements
Since each community has its own needs and priorities, Consultant will work with the
individual neighborhoods to facilitate their determination of priorities for immediate,
near-term and long-term enhancements. Immediate priorities will be those low items
that can be cost implemented by the City or County without further design. These
immediate items will be prioritized in a list form to be considered for immediate
implementation by the City and County.
Near-term priorities will need further design. Conceptual designs for the near term
priorities will be completed as part of Task 4 of this contract. Long-term enhancements
are those to be implemented with future funds and will also be called out in a list form;
conceptual designs will not be developed for the long term enhancements.
As a part of the facilitation and enhancement prioritization process, we will educate the
three neighborhoods on the City's vision towards cleaner and more sustainable
transportation modes. Community outreach will be facilitated in English and Spanish.
Consultant recognizes that the improvements identified by the Friendly Acres, North
Fair Oaks, and Redwood Village neighborhoods may exceed Stanford's $1,500,000
commitment. Therefore, exploration of other external funding as well as project
prioritization will be conducted under this task.
Deliverables
Draft and Final project logo
Draft and Final bilingual meeting notices and content for advertising meetings via
social media
Community Meeting materials in English and Spanish, meeting attendance lists
and meeting summaries
First round of Community Meetings (3)
Technical Memorandum outlining the prioritization process, its results and
community requests not included in the NSEP (including list of immediate
priorities, near term and long term priorities for each neighborhood and jointly)
Task 3 — Draft and Final NSEP Implementation Plan
Based on the efforts in Tasks 1 and 2, feedback from the communities and City staff
input, Consultant will develop an administrative draft NSEP for review by City and
County staff. This draft will include:
• Highlights of the Stanford Development project and its mitigation measures
• Community feedback from all three neighborhoods
• Project lists and priorities for immediate, near-term, and long-term
implementation
• Opportunities to leverage funding through other City and County programs
Page 11 of 15
REV, 11-18-16 VR
ATTYIAGR.2016.322/TJKM- Neighborhood Street Enhancement Program
